What is Kinestherapy?
Kinestherapy is a physical and mental therapy infused workout uniquely designed to keep you healed, whole, and happy. Healthy is the goal in this full-body, fun, fiery workout for the dance lover, fitness specialists, and therapists combined! Cardio, toning, core strengthening, balance training, cognitive health, self-confidence and self-esteem techniques and more in one amazing workout. Kinestherapy was created to provide motivation, coaching, encouragement, improve self-esteem and self-confidence while simultaneously providing a dynamic workout.
The founder of the program, Brittainye Wise, is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, certified Group Exercise Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Life Coach. She is passionate about health and wellness but ultimately provides a unique approach to understanding what healthy is. Brittainye is a plus-sized professional dancer and athlete! As such, she has often been discriminated against because of her size/weight being in the fitness industry, even as a child, she was bullied for her weight, despite her physical appearance Brittainye is actually very healthy, having no ailments or diseases in her body and has never been told to lose weight by a medical professional!
She has taken all of her knowledge, training, and experience in the therapy, dance, and fitness industries respectfully and created an innovative program designed for all body types. Brittainye understands the importance of overall health and well-being and has always promoted being healthy, not “skinny” or “fat”, but healthy. Health doesn’t have a physical size and low self-esteem comes in all shapes, sizes and colors. Brittainye’s goal is to change the stereotype that you have to look a certain way to be fit. In addition to being a plus-size athlete, Brittainye suffered from depression while being abused in her marriage as well as during a horrible divorce experience, at this point she understood the importance of mental health and how it affects the rest of the body. While going through such a dark experience, she would often hide depression behind a pretty smile!

It is this experience that encouraged her to include mental therapy into her workouts, some techniques include affirmations and breathing techniques during class. This is an innovative concept as there is nothing like it in the fitness, dance, or therapy industry but very needed as a pandemic has shown us the impact of mental illness on our lives, the continued need for overall health in every industry, and increased need for diversity and inclusion in all industries.
As world-wide beauty standards begin to change, the self-image and body positivity movement is still on the rise, but hasn’t made its way to the fitness industry as of yet. This puts Kinestherapy at an advantage to be positioned at the start of what will become a global impact and will ultimately change the dynamic of the healthy/unhealthy stereotypes.

Who is the Founder?
Brittainye is a licensed physical therapist assistant, professional dancer, certified group exercise instructor, certified personal trainer, certified life coach, neuro-linguistic programming specialist and licensed business owner. She started her own business teaching children dance in 2003 and later started in group exercise in 2006. She would go on to teach many different types of classes in the fitness industry including: Silver Sneakers, Silver N Fit, Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program, Zumba, U-Jam, Funkie Fusion, and Line Dancing. Through her versatility as a dancer and instructor, she would start her own unique style of teaching through her private company, Wise Moves Dance. Later, in 2018, she would obtain her degree in Physical Therapy. Through working as a therapist she began to include therapeutic interventions in her fitness classes! People 2 loved it! Brittainye would soon find her niche in both the fitness industry and therapy industry as most therapists struggle with motivating patients and making therapy “fun”.
Brittainye used dance and business to overcome homelessness, poverty, childhood trauma and abuse making it her goal to improve her family legacy. While going through a divorce, she chose to audition for the Curvy Queenz of Dallas professional dance team. Here is where her love of dance and business would once again meet, as she eventually would serve as a board member and partner.
As a professional dancer, Brittainye has been featured in a variety of commercials, music videos, live performances and more! She is a woman of many hats: mother, dancer, choreographer, agent, consultant, and more. Her goal is for everyone on earth to recognize their purpose and potential and to let their light shine! “We are all made to shine and live a life of abundance and prosperity.”
